About us…

Founded in 2026, Mushroom and Moon is a small, independent business based in Essex, creating handmade wooden jewellery and accessories.

Every design starts life being drawn by hand before being brought to life using our laser machine, where each piece is carefully engraved and cut from wood.

We’ve never been ones for following the crowd, so here at Mushroom and Moon, you can expect to find jewellery that’s a little bit different from the norm. Think earrings shaped like your favourite biscuit, a slice of toast hanging from your ears, and plenty of other wonderfully unusual designs!

We love creating pieces that make people smile, start conversations and, most importantly, let you show off a little bit of your personality.

Whether you’re looking for something cute, quirky, unusual or simply a little bit you, we hope you’ll find a favourite amongst our designs.

Behind Mushroom and Moon

Meet the Maker

Behind the earring designs, you’ll find me — Nicole. A jewellery lover, lifelong crafter, and someone who has always loved art and making things.

Over the years, those of you who are local may have spotted me at various events and craft fairs, with a table full of my creations. I’ve made all sorts over the years, from personalised drinkware and bookmarks to keyrings and plenty of other crafty creations!

But my love of jewellery goes back much further than that. Ever since I was around 10 years old, I’ve been fascinated by jewellery and loved creating my own pieces. Once I discovered eBay and realised I could buy beads with my pocket money, I was absolutely in my element!

Fast forward a few years, and I finally decided to take the plunge and combine two of my biggest loves: drawing and jewellery and Mushroom and Moon was born.

I love nothing more than a good craft fair, so you’ll often find me behind a stall at local events. And, more often than not, I’ll have my amazing husband Lee by my side.

Lee is my official heavy-lifter and chauffeur, although his most important job is definitely keeping an eye on the stall while I disappear off to do a little shopping!

Thank you for supporting my little handmade business and for following along on this creative journey. Every order, kind word, share and visit to my stall genuinely means the world to me.
